Dry salami, fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil and a drizzle of olive oil. Yum!

I'm not a health expert but a sociology grad student with a deep interest in health, food, and how we organize our lives around the deceivingly simple question, "what should we eat?"
My goal here is to use this blog to record what I'm learning as I "dig to the root" of conventional "wisdom" about food, diet, and fitness. This blog is motivated by my own struggles with health and my journey to find solutions. My opinions and ideas will definitely change over the lifetime of this blog, this is a journey in the true sense of the word, but I hope some of my post will get people thinking and questioning their choices and decisions regarding health and food.
Please share your thoughts and ideas!
